Genuine Leather vs PU Leather
- Genuine leather is often more expensive. It wears better over time, will be softer, and have a natural scent.
- PU leather represents the look and feel of genuine leather, but it is an artificial leather material made with split leather (the fibrous part of the hide left over from making genuine leather) which has been coated with polyurethane (hence the name “PU”). PU material can have a more glossy appearance and is generally far less thicker than real leather.
