The PMK-2 (Modernized Combined Gas Mask, 2nd model) is a general-purpose filtering gas mask designed to protect the respiratory system, face, and eyes from toxic agents (TA), radioactive dust (RD), and bacterial aerosols.
Key Features and Specifications
Mask Design: Equipped with trapezoidal lenses for a wide field of view and an intercom for speech intelligibility of up to 95%.
Hydration System: The design includes a device for drinking water from a canteen without removing the gas mask in contaminated atmospheres.
Filter-Absorber Box (FAC): Features a bayonet (quick-release) connection to the mask. Unlike civilian models, the FAC can be mounted on either the left or right side for ease of firing.
Temperature Rating: Effective at temperatures from -40°C to +40/50°C and relative humidity up to 98%.
Weight: Completely assembled without the bag, it weighs approximately 960 g – 1.5 kg.
