This adorable and rare Heubach figurine is an antique gem from the town of Lichte, in the state of Thuringia, Germany, and dates to the 1880s. Marked with Pressed 3857 and 83 in ink. This bisque piece is a rendition of a baby boy taking a bath holding a sponge. He wears white shorts. The boy’s face has been sculpted in a realistic manner. This is evidenced in his intaglio eyes, eyelids, nose and cute lips. This figurine is a perfect addition to any porcelain collection, porcelain baby lovers, Heubach collectors, and would make a thoughtful gift for a special occasion or loved one.
Condition - The figurine is in excellent condition for its age. Colors are in excellent shape. We did not find cracks or chips. Please see photos for additional information about the item condition. Measures: 3.5” (L) x 3.25″ (W) x 5″ (H). Weight: 6.1 oz.
