An exceptionally fine and impressive Georgian English sterling silver pierced and bright cut bottle label made by Hester Bateman.
This Georgian Sterling Silver bottle label is suspended by two ring hoops to the sides and connected by a silver round link chain. It is a fine bottle label crafted by the renowned female London silversmith Hester Bateman, and an exceptional example of its type.
In beautiful condition, this Hester Bateman Port decanter label measures approximately 4.9cm in length and 4.3cm in width. It weighs 11g.
To the reverse is the Hester Bateman maker's mark and lion passant mark; both marks are clear and not rubbed.
