Installation Procedure: 

  • Step 1: Place the “Master Cylinder” end of the tool on the face of the master cylinder 
  • Step 2: Unlock the center round knob, adjust the center pin to measure the depth of the piston bore, and then lock the round knob 
  • Step 3: Place the “Brake Booster” end of the tool on the face of the brake booster, adjusting the push rod as needed until it has a little clearance between it and the pin. Adjust the push rod as needed until there is a little clearance between it and the pin.
  • Step 4: Connecting the Master Cylinder and Brake Booster

Danger of improperly adjusted pushrod length: 

  • 1,Pushrod too long: Over-adjustment will prevent the booster and brakes from fully releasing pressure, resulting in the brakes gradually locking up. 
  • 2,Pushrod too short: After adjusting the pushrod, the brakes will travel too much before contacting the brakes, resulting in brake failure.
