? description
The Bafang PAS sensors SR PA121.32.S and PA112.32.S are installed instead of the bottom bracket. There, the pedal activity is transmitted to the controller with 32 pulses per revolution, thus defining the motor support. The advantage of this technology compared to speed sensors, which also count wheel revolutions when you are pushing, is that the sensor only registers wheel revolutions when you are actually pedaling. The operating temperature of the sensor ranges from -20 - 45 °C. The sensor weighs 312g and is tested according to the highest industry standards, according to which neither dust nor moisture may penetrate, and has the IP X5 standard. The two models differ in the axle length, both are designed for a bottom bracket width of 68mm.
You must remove your bottom bracket for installation. The sensor is unscrewed and then screwed in with approx. 30 Nm. You can use the Bafang motor mounting tool for BBS01 / BBS02 / BBSHD for this. The cable is located in the middle of the sensor, so a hole is required in the middle of the bottom bracket housing. The supplied? seal protects against water and dust. With a cable length of 0.5 meters, you have enough space to connect the sensor. Two rubber seals and matching crank bolts for the right and left sides are also supplied.
