>Offered here is an old & original 2001 PORTLAND WINTER HAWKS Western Hockey League 25th Anniversary embroidered patch!! Please see both photos, as they are an important part of my description. This vintage hockey patch measures a large 5" x 4" and features the Portland Winter Hawks Indian mascot logo along with the "1976-2001" twenty-fifth anniversary tribute. The patch's reverse appears to have adhesive, to iron-on if one desired to do so. 

     <>History: the Portland Winter Hawks (later changed to "Winterhawks" as one word) played in the Western Hockey League (WHL) with their home games at the Portland Memorial Coliseum in Portland, Oregon. Interestingly, the Hawks accepted a donation of old jerseys from the NHL Chicago Black Hawks, and they kept the design for nearly half a century until abandoning the controversial Native American caricature.
