Legendary camera which does not need extra introduction.

Full-frame back-illuminated CMOS sensor
The α7R II is the world's first camera to feature a 35mm full-frame back-illuminated CMOS sensor, achieving a resolution of approximately 42.4 megapixels, complemented by an expanded sensitivity range and ultra-quiet operation. The camera has no optical low-pass filter to affect sharpness, so every image is clear and crisp from edge to edge.

High-speed BIONZ X™ image processing engine
With technology that reproduces details even at smaller apertures, capture truer, more detailed images with superior colors and less diffraction and noise. The BIONZ X image processing engine precisely processes data from the 42.4-megapixel image sensor, delivering even clearer images

Fast Hybrid AF now covers more
The high-performance image sensor supports Fast Hybrid AF, which surpasses conventional autofocus in terms of completeness, speed and responsiveness. The 399-point center-detection phase-detection AF points cover 45% of the frame, the most coverage in a digital camera with a full-frame sensor. 3 25-point contrast-detection AF is also included.

5-Axis Image Stabilizer
This stabilization system is finely tuned to enable the high-resolution image sensor to accurately compensate for five types of camera shake while shooting 42.4-megapixel images handheld. The compensation is equivalent to a 4.5-stop shutter speed increase, allowing you to take advantage of more shutter speeds.
