✅ Overview:
The "Debugging Station" is a development machine commonly known as the "Blue Station" that was sold exclusively to related manufacturers for developers of the original PlayStation.
It is rare for one to still exist, and even if the manufacturer disposes of it, it is almost never available on the market, making it a valuable item with a premium value, with only one coming on the market every few years or so.
✅Condition:
The power turns on, but disc reading is unstable and difficult, and the pickup lens has reached the end of its life and needs to be replaced.
The development machine is already over 30 years old, so it is thought that the cause is deterioration over time due to the reading unit having exceeded its useful life.
When you insert a disc, you can hear the lens flapping up and down. This is probably because the lens is no longer properly adjusting its distance from the disc (reflected light) due to deterioration over time.
The pickup lens is the KSM-440AAM lens that was installed on the earliest SCPH-1000 and SCPH-3000 models, and can be easily replaced by anyone with just a Phillips head screwdriver.
However, the above opinion is my own opinion as an amateur, and is not a diagnosis result issued by an official Sony repair center.
Due to the age of the lens, repairs other than lens replacement may be necessary, so please use it only for repairs and parts.
Since it is a junk item, there is no warranty and the compensation system is only valid in the case of a transportation accident.
The scratches may not be visible in the photo due to the angle of view or lighting, but there are scratches, scuffs, and signs of use.
