【Item Description】
This is a very rare early 80s Tokai Gakki Cat's-eyes CE-1200D! It features a torch inlay on the headstock, hexagon inlays on the fingerboard, and D-45 style inlays on the body top, sides, and back. Real abalone is used for the inlays on the top!
【Product Condition】
There are some scratches due to aging, but there is no fatal damage and it is still an active guitar.
I have owned D-45 style guitars in the past, but the Tokai Gakki, which has a sole agency agreement with Martin in Japan, has a meticulous and precise construction, and the difference in perfection is so beautiful that you can tell at a glance.
The sound that comes out is as delicate and precise as the appearance. I am a Morris and YAMAKI maniac, but I can understand why so many people are hooked on Cat's-eyes. It has a well-balanced, tight, and beautiful sound.
Each part has been inspected. It rings well! The neck is straight and the frets are about 70% remaining. The string height at the 12th fret is about 3mm for the 6th string and about 2mm for the 1st string.
A genuine hard case is included.
This is the only one available for purchase right now, so please consider it.
