I BOUGHT A COLLECTION OF PUBLICITY PHOTOS FROM A FORMER STUDIO EMPLOYEE. APPROXIMATELY 70 PHOTOS ARE FROM THE "MUPPET MOVIE". THEY ARE PHOTOGRAPHER'S TEST PROOFS. THERE WERE SEVERAL OTHER TITLES AND ACTORS ALSO IN THIS COLLECTION.
USUALLY PHOTOS TO BE USED FOR PRESS KITS AND OTHER FORMS OF ADVERTISING ARE TAKEN SEPARATE FROM THE ACTUAL SHOOTING OF THE SCENE. THE ACTOR/ACTORS POSE FOR THE PHOTOS OR RE-ENACT THE SCENE. ON OCCASION THE PHOTOGRAPHER WOULD SHOOT DURING FILMING IF THE SOUND OF HIS CAMERA DID NOT AFFECT THE SHOOTING OF THE FILM.

A PHOTOGRAPHER TAKES A SERIES OF PHOTOS AND THEY ARE ALL PUT ON A "PROOF" SHEET. THEN PHOTOS ARE PICKED FROM THAT SHEET AND MADE INTO 8" X 10" PHOTOS. THOSE ARE THEN INSPECTED AND CERTAIN ONES APPROVED TO PRODUCE FOR ADVERTISING. ON OCCASION SOME PHOTOS ARE RE-SHOT. SOME FROM THIS COLLECTION HAVE NOTES ABOUT RESHOOTING.
