Up for grabs is this 26 pound SAVAGE of a 12" subwoofer...

This one is kind of interesting... And- the ONLY one like it in the world...

It's a build I did years ago, with a bunch of super heavy duty hardware components, assembled all of that, and then loaded it with the best coils, cones, surrounds, caps/etc/etc/etc I had at the time...

I don't remember what brands any of the magnetic structure components came from, but it's a double stacked magnet with THICK magnet rings.

The top and bottom pole plate with core, I got from a different subwoofer, and some of you might know what brand that basket is off of...

I remember having to drill and tap holes to bolt everything together.

I used 2KW flat COPPER wire litz, and it's a dual 4 Ohm coil..

The voice coil is an aluminum former 3" diameter large winding coil...

The spider is a large diameter , moderately stiff compliance.

A heavy weight kraft paper cone was selected , and it had that huge fat roll surround, which allows the large physical strokes required to get down deep..It easily moves an inch or two..

Overall depth is 8"..

Dust cap is a heavy repressed pulp, and has held together just fine,...

This unit was used here at the shop for all sorts of goofy tests and projects... I ran it in tapped bass horns, 6TH order bandpass, and even a plane wave tube that was 42 feet long...Basically, I made a BOSE BASS CANNON, but with better results..

if any of you guys have an automotive project, or a stereo/ surround powered subwoofer project, some sort of crazy bass guitar combo, or even a PA application for this, I'd like to see it go to someone who can use it and give it a good new WORKING home, because I simply have way too much of this stuff to give it the use it deserves...
