The bolt pattern on this mount fits factory drilled smith & wesson revolvers. The mount is also available undrilled, to accommodate unconventional bolt patterns. Swing the cylinder out on your gun and look under the top strap. If you see the holes under the sight, through the top strap, your gun is factory drilled and tapped. Our mount fits snugly into the rear sight cut and has a recoil shoulder, unlike some mounts that are simply radiused to fit the top radius and do not go into the rear sight cut. Picatinny cross slots run the full length of the rail, which gives the shooter flexibility when mounting scope rings and other accessories. The channel in the center reduces the overall mass of the mount, weighing in at 2-3oz on average. Also, in many cases, it will not obstruct usage of factory iron sights.
