  • VHB (Very High Bond) display tape repair kit for all the 21.5" iMac ranges. 
  • This kit includes the 6 part tape kit and blades and prying tool needed to remove the front glass from the iMac and fit the display to the rear housing unit again.
  • Please Note: Removing and refitting the display on this range of iMac is not recommended without previous training or knowledge, as it is a difficult job to undertake. VHB strips are a very thin layer of foam between two self-adhesive plastic strips. A special tool with disposable cutting disks is used to cut the foam layer when removing the display and therefore this kit will be needed each time the display assembly is removed and refitted.
  • Please also note: For iMac 4K models: strip completely covers the microphone and the holes in front of it which can deaden any sound picked up. Knowing this, the solution is simple. Make sure the microphone works properly before using any adhesive. Then, apply the adhesive strips, but when laying down the bottom strip, cut away the portion covering the microphone (and a little bit more from each side to be safe).
  • iMac opening blade: is specially designed for 21.5" A1418, A2116 & 27" A1419, A2115 iMac but it can also be used for ipads and other devices with similarly built and design but I would say with these tools your skill can decide the limit as in opinion this is a multipurpose tool.

The glass removal kit comes in two parts 


1. The handle is made of acceptably durable plastic and easily accommodates the cutting wheel while providing plenty of grips. In
addition, the end of the handle features a thin prying and slicing blade to ensure you loosen all the adhesive.

2. The cutting wheel is specifically designed to slip in the hair-thin gap between the display and the aluminium frame, then
easily cut the adhesive strip holding the two pieces together.
