Two, Near Fine, ultra rare, duel signed (beautifully to frontis pages by Barbara Hepworth and Bernard Leach respectively - see pictures), first edition catalogues (In September 1968 Barbara Hepworth and potter Bernard Leach were given the Honorary freedom of St Ives. This was accompanied by an exhibition of their work in the town which opened at multiple venues - the Leach Pottery, Trewyn Studio, St Ives Guildhall, Parish Church and the library.) in card wraps and accompanied by the original plastic slipcase. To find a beautifully associated item such as this and signed so beautifully by these famous artists is breath-taking. The two illustrated catalogues of black and white plates showing their selected works together with bibliographies have survived in excellent condition. The plastic slip case is in poor condition as a result of the material becoming brittle an splitting with age, but is complete (see pictures). Printed by W J Rowe, Lifeboat Hill, St Ives, Cornwall, 1968.
