Note:

From my experience with Tupperware, sometimes the lids are a bit tight-fitting when they are new. 

If you soak the lid in hot water for a couple of minutes, it will expand slightly, and will easily 

fit onto the container. You should only need to do this one or two times; after that, they should fit without pre-soaking.
