For your consideration is my Canon Ftb QL 35mm camera kit. Included in this kit is the camera body, 28mm f/2.8 Formula 5 lens, Toshiba Skylight/1A filter and Canon FTb instruction manual. I've had this camera in my collection for a while -- I'm now 'thinning the herd' so my loss is your gain.
This camera is in overall nice shape and everything works as it should (BTW this is the second version from 1973 with the plastic-tipped advance lever, shutter speed visible in the viewfinder, F-1 style self-timer lever and permanent cover for the PC flash connection). I had the foam seals replaced earlier this year by Douglas Banks Photographic Equipment Repair and he also serviced the body. The shutter speeds work as they should (though cannot guarantee accuracy), the light meter works as it should (though cannot guarantee accuracy), battery compartment is clean, the self-timer works, mirror lock-up works and everything is ready to go. If you look at the detail shots you'll see that there are some marks here and there in the chrome finish (particularly in the baseplate), one corner in the top plate has a minor ding (does not affect anything other than cosmetics), the rewind button on the bottom has some chrome loss, and the viewfinder has some dust in it (however does not adversely affect your view through it). Overall a good camera that's ready to use.
The 28mm lens is in excellent shape. The glass is in generally nice shape with just some minor dust around one of the inner elements (should not adversely affect final image quality). Focus is smooth and nicely damped, aperture action is fine, black finish has minor evidence of use, and this lens is a good match to the camera body. The Toshiba Skylight/1A filter is also in good condition and does what it's supposed to do.
Finally, the vintage instruction manual is in good condition. There is some wear to the cover, it has an old fold mark throughout and is yellowed, but it's all intact and you can easily leaf through it without worry. A nice complement to the camera.
Not much more to say about this nice camera kit as the pictures tell the rest of the story. This is a great opportunity to add a classic and rock-solid Canon camera kit to your camera bag at an extremely reasonable price. Use it and love it.
A bit of info about me: I am a longtime eBayer (since October 2000) who moved from the US to Canada last year and had to create a new eBay account here. I'm also a commercial photographer who has been taking photos since 1977 and I've been collecting and using vintage cameras ever since. So you can be confident in knowing that you're buying from someone who knows what he has and its operational and cosmetic status.
