Vintage Gurley Wye land surveying instrument. Includes transit, tripod & wooden case. Has proof of last service in June of 1965. Excellent collectors item or could be turned into a cool lamp! Either way, great piece. Only thing I can see wrong is that the box is missing an eye for one of the hooks to latch. Leather is in decent shape, not dry-rot. I’m no expert but it all looks to be there.
