German China Commemorative Medal for Combatants pre WW1

The German China Commemorative Medal (China-Denkmünze für Kämpfer) was awarded to German soldiers who participated in the China Expeditionary Corps (Ostasiatisches Expeditionskorps) during the Boxer Rebellion in 1900-1901. It is considered a pre-World War I medal. The medal was authorized by Kaiser Wilhelm II and was intended to commemorate the participation of German forces in suppressing the Boxer Rebellion.
