Designed for modern Gen5 NVMe storage, the adapter supports a manufacturer-rated theoretical PCIe bandwidth of up to 128Gbps when connected through a full PCIe 5.0 x4 link.
It is also backward compatible with compatible PCIe 4.0, PCIe 3.0 and PCIe 2.0 systems and NVMe SSDs.

SSD Compatibility
This adapter supports M.2 NVMe M-Key PCIe SSDs only.
M.2 SATA / NGFF SATA drives are not supported. Please check the interface of your SSD before ordering.
PCI Express Compatibility
The adapter requires a compatible PCIe x4, x8 or x16 slot.
PCIe x1 slots are not supported.
To obtain PCIe 5.0 performance, your processor, motherboard and the selected PCIe slot must provide a full PCIe 5.0 x4 connection. On older PCIe generations the adapter will operate at the lower supported link speed.
Operating System and Boot Support
The adapter itself is a passive PCIe to NVMe interface adapter and normally does not require a separate driver. Your operating system must support the installed NVMe SSD.
Booting from an SSD installed on this adapter depends on motherboard BIOS or UEFI NVMe boot support.
