Shorts have attached suspenders and matching gold buttons. snap closure between the legs. Elasticized waistband for comfort. Made of 100% cotton velour (exclusive of trim). Light overall wear, the only flaw I see is a rust spot from one of the suspender buttons. I think it would wash out but not 100%. Would be SO cute for your little prince this holiday season or for holiday pictures!
