Here is your chance to own an actual decomissioned part of the unique TRANSFER LIFT mechanism fromSilver Dollar City’s "Powder Keg" Roller Coaster in Branson Missouri, USA! The PowderKeg roller coaster makes use of a steel cable system in its unique lift transfer mechanism that elevates the train from the station to the launch area. This de-commissioned part was once connected to a steel cable that was connected to one of the two 10,000-pound counterweights that are used to lift the coaster’s train approximately 30 feet to the launchtrack. While the main lift hill of “Powder Keg” uses a traditional chain, and the launch itself uses compressed air, the transfer system incorporates a steel cable as a key supporting part of the ride's operation. No other roller coaster at the park is noted as using a steel cable for any active or supporting part of its core lift/launch mechanism and according to AI research, this is the only roller coaster in the world that uses this unique counterbalance transfer system.

The ride was a significant conversion of a previous attraction, the BuzzSaw Falls water coaster, which was originally manufactured by Premier Rides and had opened in 1999. S&S utilized some of the existing structure and the chain lift hill from the former ride but installed a new track layout and a compressed air launch system to create “PowderKeg”.The unique counterweighted lift transfer mechanism that raises the trains 30 feet to the launch track area was manufactured by S&S Worldwide (now S&S – Sansei Technologies). The unique counterweighted lift transfer mechanism on Powder keg appears to be a one-of-a-kind system developed specifically for that ride's unusual conversion from the former Buzz saw Falls watercoaster. It was an innovative solution engineered by S&S Worldwide to integrate the existing lift hill structure with their new air-launch system. Roller coaster enthusiasts and sources that detail S&S manufactured rides mention this mechanism as a specific quirk of “PowderKeg”, due to its mix of elements from different manufacturers and eras.While other coasters use a combination of lift types (e.g., chain lifts and launches), no other S&S coaster or coaster by another manufacturer is noted for using this exact unique, counterweighted transfer lift mechanism as a standard component of its design.

The part weighs approximately 24LBS (pounds) to the nearest tenth of a pound and is about 20.25" (20 1/4) inches long at its longest point by about  4.5" (41/2) inches wide at its widest point by about 2.75"(2 3/4) inches high at its highest point. The steel cable end is about 1.5” (`1 ½ inches) thick in diameter.

Additionally, the part features both stamped and separately engraved markings of which the last 3 digits of one of the stamped numbers just happen to amazingly be “007” which invokes an exciting and intriguing James Bond 007 always up for adventure kind of aspect and thrill!
