Minichamps 1/43 Ligier JS11 1979 F1 Jackie Ickx Model Car Formula One Collectible

This is a precise die-cast model made by Minichamps.

This is the car that competed in the 1979 F1 Grand Prix.

The driver was Jacky Ickx, known as the King of Le Mans.

That was the heyday of ground effects in F1.

The grid was filled with copies of the Lotus 79, which had shown overwhelming speed the previous year.

The Ligier JS11 was one of those copies, and it could be said to be the most successful example of this.

Even though it was a copy, the original shape of the upper cowling gives it a very French feel.

The car recorded two consecutive wins at the start of the season, almost causing chaos in the team, but midway through the season, development manager Depailler suffered an accident that broke both his legs, and the team was overtaken by Williams and Ferrari in the second half of the season.

Even so, this is arguably the most successful car in Ligier's history.

The model is made by Minichamps, a long-established German manufacturer.

When it comes to building F1 cars, Minichamps is unmatched.

Even the wiring of the DFV engine, which is omitted in the Spark model, has been faithfully reproduced.

It has been stored in a dark place, so both the outer box and the car itself are in excellent condition.

It is now an extremely rare model that commands a premium.

If you've been looking for one, don't miss this opportunity.
