This “Buy it Now” offering is for an original vintage 1973-74 American Hockey League schedule booklet that includes 1972-73 AHL statistics and final standings. The 32-page booklet lists the players scoring records from 1972-73, topped by Nova Scotia Voyageurs’ Yvon Lambert who made his NHL debut with the Montreal Canadiens during the 1972-73 season appearing in only one game, but he would go on to nine years as the Canadiens left winger scoring 206 career goals with Montreal including four Stanley Cup Championships. He is remembered for scoring the winning goal in overtime of game seven of the 1979 Stanley Cup Semi-Finals against the Boston Bruins. Among the AHL players in the 1973-74 season was Rick Middleton who won Rookie of the Year honors with the Providence Reds with 84 points and was named to the AHL’s 1st All Star team. He moved up to the New York Rangers in 1974-75, but spent most of his career with the Boston Bruins where he had five straight seasons of at least 40 goals and 90 points. He retired with 448 goals and 540 assists for 988 points in 1005 games with an additional 100 points in 114 playoff games. At the time of his retirement following the 1987-88 season, Middleton ranked third on the Boston Bruins' all-time regular-season scoring list. In 2018, the Boston Bruins retired Middleton's number 16 jersey. The booklet measures 7 X 3.5 inches.
