You are considering a vintage LIMITED EDITION hard cover book, no DJ, from the FRANKLIN LIBRARY:
GETTING UP AND GOING HOME by Robert Anderson. Illustrated by Barnett Plotkin. Published in 1978 with 257 pages.
Includes a SPECIAL MESSAGE from the author not found in the retail edition. Spine is a rich brown color tooled leather with 22K gold lettering and decoration. . Spine has 3 raised bars. Has 22k gold gilting on all three sides or page edges. The end pages have a Moire silk design. Has its satin ribbon which is still folded as when the book was originally sold.
This book was issued to members of THE FIRST EDITION SOCIETY series. It is in excellent, UNUSED condition. I did not see any scuffs to the leather. The gold gilting is intact on all three sides. There are no marks, tears or folds on any pages. Binding is tight and clean. No writing or markings.
Includes THE NOTES FROM THE EDITORS.
Franklin Library stopped publishing books in 2000. Since that time, these books have become very collectible. The quality is excellent and beautiful! Wonderful addition to any library.
