Product Description
This unit is listed at a low price, but it has been checked for sound and functionality, and has been serviced and re-recorded. While there are some scratches on the top panel, the inside of the front panel is generally clean and in good working order with no discoloration or discoloration.
The original plastic side panels are not removed, so this unit is being offered at a low price.
The internal components are equivalent to the X-1001 from Kenwood's high-end K's series and operate reliably.

Maintenance Details
1. The tray belt was deformed and replaced with a new one. The capstan flat belt appears to still be usable.
2. The pinch roller was worn and replaced with a new one (Photo 8). The head was demagnetized and cleaned, and the tape speed was adjusted.
3. The moving parts were greased and the rear terminals were detarnished with contact cleaner.

Currently, sound is visible during opening/closing, playback, recording, fast forward, and rewind. The display is bright and there appear to be no dead pixels. There also appears to be no sluggish switch response due to age. (All functionality, including CD sync, has not been confirmed.)

Only the TC-S1 will be included.
