The 3D background comes in: 2 sections.
The 3D background thickness:1.5-3 inch

This Rock 3D Background comes in 2 sections.  If you have original Juwel internal filter in the corner, you should remove it if you want to install 3D background. We recommend any good external filter, you can hide the inlet pipes and outlet pipes behind the background.

The line of cut is straight, but when you join both sections with tabs provided, it will be less visible. You can use other ornaments or plants to cover the joint. You don't have to silicone the background inside, as it sinks.

The space from glass to front of background in some points is between 2 to 3 inches. Background is made from poly-resin, which is safe for all aquatic life. Our backgrounds sink, it's not a foam.

Installation is very easy, you only have to slide it inside your aquarium and background will stay in place. The background is not flexible, you can't bend it, but you may trim it by using angled grinder, hacksaw, dremmel

We now offer samples of this background, so you can feel the structure and see the details of our products. The sample size is around 10x10cm piece.

Description:
   
The aquarium background, just like all other products, is made of highest-quality materials:
   
- high quality mineral and  resin conglomerate
   
- fiberglass used as a strengthening material
   
- dyes resistant to ultraviolet radiation on the coloured surface of the background
   
The background is completely submersible, it doesn't require to be attached to the glass (for example to be sticked with silicone).
   
The background size, which is smaller than the internal size of the aquarium, provides easy water circulation in the whole container.
   
The walls secured with nets prevent the fish from swimming behind the background.
   
Additional function of the background is to separate the aquarium's environment from its technical equipment (heaters, sensors or internal filters)
   
- it is possible to cut the background and drill it, with the use of tools for stone machining
   
- or glue it to the glass with silicone
