Allan Holdsworth is one of the few musicians and guitarists who has reached the level of such a ``master''. His many albums will be released on hybrid SACD! This is his 7th solo album with the title ``Wardenclyffe Tower'' a tower built on the coast of the Sound of Long Island that transmits electrical energy without the use of power lines.The album features the regular rhythm section of Jimmie Johnson (bass) and Chad Wackerman (drums) touring member Steve Hunt (kbds) allies Gordon Beck (kbds) and Gary Husband (drums) and Vinnie Cali who participated in the previous album. Produced by Uta (ds) and Naomi Starr (vo). This is only his fourth album that introduces syntax and Alan uses this ultimate guitar/synth more flexibly and effectively making it a perfect instrument along with the guitar. He also uses a baritone guitar made by Bill Dillup one of the leading custom guitar builders and the theme is introduced with a unique chord progression ``5 To 10'' which is one of the best tracks with a progressive rock flavor and the solo by Gary Husband who is also a well-known keyboard player is also wonderful. It is a work where you can enjoy songs such as ``Dencliffe Tower'' that are typical of Alan and you can also get a glimpse of the New Age music aspect of overdubbing.
