See the scans. This is a Check from Jack Dempsey’s Broadway Restaurant and Bar. The restaurant opened in 1935 and closed in 1974. The check has a partial time stamp at the bottom indicating a 1945 date. The customer ordered 6 items and the total bill was $2.80 plus 11 cents tax for 2.91. CRAZY. Waiters handwriting was so bad you don’t know what he ordered lol.
