- The datAshur Personal2 is a USB flash drive with hardware encryption (so encryption happens on the device itself, not via software) using AES-XTS 256-bit.
- It is PIN authenticated: you enter a 7–15 digit PIN on the onboard keypad before connecting it to a computer.
- It supports auto-lock (it locks when unplugged or after a period of inactivity) and has defenses against brute force attacks (after too many wrong PIN attempts, the user PIN is deleted).
- There is an admin PIN feature: if the user forgets their PIN, the admin PIN can unlock and allow PIN reset.
- USB interface: USB 3.2 Gen 1 (i.e. up to 5 Gbps) — backwards compatible with USB 3.0/2.0.
- Stated speeds (for the series) are around 170 MB/s read and 133 MB/s write in optimal conditions.
- Physical build: the drive has a rugged aluminum sleeve, with dimensions (with sleeve) approximately 83 mm × 17.4 mm × 8.6 mm, weight ~20 g.
- OS/Platform support: It is platform independent — no software required, works with Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, and more.
