McCall's 5540 Size 10 Bust 32 1/2 Vintage Pattern Women Sleeveless Dress Top Embroidery. Condition is "Used".  From 1977.  I can hear the Carpenters singing, can't you?  Here is a timeless design: a yoked sleeveless dress with self tie shoulders.  The yoke can be contrasting fabric, or maybe a stripe turned the other way. Long or short length.  The top is cropped and can be worn with jeans or other pants.  There is also a piece for making a waist tie.  An embroidery transfer is included and does not appear to be used or damaged in any way.  If I used the pattern, I would definitely try that transfer!

This pattern has been cut, but on the longest length, so all your options are still open.  The envelope looks surprisingly good considering its age.  Maybe they made better paper in 1977...?  It is aged, but no tears.  It looks like the salesperson obediently cut off the bottom of the top flap for inventory.  Thanks for looking, and happy sewing!  I love to think of these patterns being used again.
