The Mainspring winder is an essential tool for watchmakers. Winding a mainspring by hand is tedious, risks damaging the spring, and may contaminate it.

As a hobbyist, spending more than $1000 on a Bergeon winder isn’t always an option. Chinese copies often sell for around $100, but they are notoriously unreliable : the brass hook mechanism breaks easily and is usually irreplaceable.

This is a smart, durable alternative. Ready to use, compatible with both left- and right-hand wound springs, and fits nearly all barrel sizes (7.0–18.5mm).
