Publisher: Imprimerie de Ch. Pellerin à Epinal, undated, c.1888 (from gift inscription). This is a collection of 16 Epinal prints of soldiers of the French army, dramatically portrayed in bright colours (hand coloured). The prints are bound together but loose from the binding. They measure 37.5cm tall by 27cm wide. They are in good condition, with age toning, and the edges of the prints are a little fragile. 5 prints have closed tears, which do not intrude on the images. A rare set of beautiful prints.
