The production process of "LUX" chips consists of many stages, from growing potatoes to packaging the finished product with subsequent quality control and shipment to the distribution network.
To make 1 kg of chips, 3-4 kg of potatoes need to be processed. Potatoes are grown within the framework of our own agricultural program in cooperation with almost 30 farms in Ternopil, Zhytomyr, Vinnytsia, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Kherson and Khmelnytskyi regions of Ukraine. The production facility processes about 60,000 tons of potatoes annually. The company uses Dutch industrial potato varieties "Lady Rosetta", "Saturna", as well as the local variety "Fantasia".
"LUX" potato chips are made from peeled potatoes, cut into slices 1.0-1.6 mm thick and 35-75 mm in diameter, followed by frying in vegetable oil and mixing with dry flavors (natural and nature-identical flavorings) and salt. Iodized salt has been used in the production of LUX chips since 2010. The moisture content of the chips is 2%, and the oil content is 30%.
To recreate the desired flavors, the company purchases the appropriate seasonings from flavor boutiques (Flavour House) in Holland and England. The main ingredient for emphasizing the taste in potato chips is salt.
