New 1"x1"x1/2" WedgeForce Machinable Double Side Fixture Clamp

Our new WedgeForce Machinable Clamps allow you to create custom fixtures which are cost efficient while offering you powerful wedge force clamping power. The double clamp enables you to clamp two parts with a single clamp comparable to Mitee-Bites Uniforce clamps but allows you to eliminate chip build up and easily remove the clamp for cleaning or fixture swapping. They are designed to fit directly in a pocket with little clearance to keep from having chips packing up in between the fixture. They can be machined to match your part contours or can be used without machining as a mini vise.

What are the advantages of using our WedgForce Clamps?

• Great clamp force with less bolt torque
  • Because the clamping power is in our wedge design it will not put as much pressure on the clamp threads compared to other toe or pitbull clamps and thus extend fixture life.
• Easy fixture installation.
  • Simply machine a 1"x1"x.5" deep pocket and tap a 1/4-20 hole in the center. Use a 1/4" endmill to finish the pocket to match the 1/8" radius on the clamp. Leave about .005" side clearance and about .025" clamp to part clearance and install the clamp. Insert .025" shim stock in-between the clamp and the pocket and tighten down till the wedge is flush. Then machine your part cavity and remove the shim stock and your done.
• Chipless design
  • Do to our rounded corner pocket design very little chips will get under the clamp. The enables you to machine more parts without the constant need to remove and blow out chips in-between parts.
• Quick removal for cleanup or fixture sharing
  • With just one single bolt you can remove the clamp and clean the fixture or if using as a mini vise it can be used in other fixtures without the need to purchase dedicated clamps for each fixture.
• No downward pull when tightened.
  • Because the wedges force outward when tightened they will not pull down on the part like toe or pitbull clamps causing the part to tilt or pull up on the fixed side.
• Made from 1018 rather than Aluminum
  • Other machinable clamps are made from aluminum and wear out quicker and do not hold the part as strong.
• Great for high Capacity work holding
