One hot OS from Japan!

A 2007 next generation state-of-the-art 4-stroke from OS for use in RC aircraft.  This OS is about the same physical size as its predecessors, the FS-70S Surpass series of engines & is lighter in weight, more powerful & features an innovative oil blow-by treatment system (for a cleaner air-frame) & a more effective exhaust silencer system (can be rotated & adjusted in & out).

Practical RPM range: 2,200 ~ 12,000rpm

Prop Tests (MAN, April 2008)

APC 13x9" 9,300rpm, 89 Db

MAS 14x6" 9,650rpm, 83 Db

APC 14x7" 9,300rpm, 91 Db

In his engine test for Model Airplane News (April 2008), Klaus Ronge suggested the "FS 81-a should pull your scale model with authority or give plenty of vertical performance with your aerobatic model". 

KR went on to say "OS has another winner on its hands... with its advanced and innovative lubrication system, this engine sets new standards in 4-stroke design.  The FS 81-a is a lightweight powerhouse that is attractive, reliable and easy to handle. Condition wise, this engine is new & turns smoothly.  Engine comes with original box, packaging, instructions, decals, exhaust silencer & glow-plug.  Please see photos.
