The Demolished Man is a science fiction novel by American writer Alfred Bester. An inverted detective story, the novel was first serialized in three parts, beginning with the January 1952 issue of Galaxy Science Fiction magazine, followed by publication of the scarce Hardcover novel in 1953. The novel is dedicated to Galaxy's editor, H. L. Gold, who offered suggestions during its writing. Bester's original title was Demolition!, but Gold convinced him to change it.

An important piece of Science Fiction and the first winner of Hugo Award for Best Novel.

UNREAD, FINE- book in a VERY GOOD+ jacket. Solid, square, tight book with just the faintest signs of handling (see pics). The book is clean and free of all owner names/marks/ plates/ inscriptions etc... (see pic)... The Jacket  presents well in mylar, lightly toned with wrinkle/nips to edges / folds (see pics). The DJ is price clipped. Extremely nice example of this Important book that is now 70+ years old. Wonderful example of this book and a great shelf filler until you can afford the expensive first Printing.
