(Not to be confused with Cocaine Cut Testing kits currently for sale that identify added adulterants but not actual cocaine content)

Hi
Thanks for your question, the NIK tests are known as ‘field test kits’, purity is indicated by the shade of blue that the chemical turns to when mixed with the product.
A guide would be that if there is no colour change the cocaine content would be zero.
A pale transparent blue would indicate a very small amount of cocaine (up to around 15%).
The deeper the colour change up to an intense shade of blue would indicate a high cocaine content.
When a wholesaler purchases say 1 kilo at 98% purity it is then diluted with a kilo of cutting agents, the wholesaler then sells it on by the ounce where it is diluted again
as it passes down the line. It is cut every step of the way until it gets down to the street corner scruff who claims to be selling ‘good gear’ when in fact the cocaine content is virtually nil.
