Description:
New Find Material! This vibrant green obsidian slag glass is top-grade, with a brilliant translucent glow and smooth surface. Rare and highly sought after, this material takes an exceptional high polish with a mirror-like luster, making it ideal for lapidary, cabs, spheres, or display.

Green is considered one of the rarest colors in obsidian-like materials, and this batch is in limited supply. Increasingly hard to find, especially in large sizes.

Features of Green Obsidian Slag Glass:

Color palette:
Striking emerald to lime green, translucent in strong light. Occasional wisps, swirls, or faint gas bubble textures may be present.

Patterns:
Typically smooth and semi-uniform, but may show faint internal flow lines or glasslike wave structures, especially near edges or fractured zones.

Hardness:
Approx. 5–6 on the Mohs scale, similar to volcanic glass and other obsidians.

Rarity:
Rare. Green is one of the rarest available shades of slag/obsidian-type materials. High-transparency, vivid green material in polishable form is increasingly hard to find, especially in large sizes.
