Vintage Collectable ALDO LONDI Bitossi Bowl
RIMINI BLU 1960s
This beautiful, striking large Bowl was handmade by renowned Italian Potter Aldo Londi (1911- 2003) for the manufacturer Bitossi in Italy. This particular series is called "Rimini Blu" and features lovely Blue and Aqua coloured glazes with hand imprinted decorative patterns. This retro bowl was at the forefront of new design techniques in pottery in the 1960s. The Bowl measures 5.5cm tall and 24.5cm in diameter and features the genuine mark on the base of "Flavia Montelupo Italy" which is the Bitossi stamp. In excellent condition with no cracks or chips.
