This is the story of El Capitxn, a producer who never let go of his dreams, even at the edge of failure. The author debuted in 2013 as a member of the boy group HISTORY, only to face the group’s disbandment four years later. However, unable to give up on his dream of “music,” he began sending out demos wherever he could, relying on sheer persistence to find his place in the music world once again. That journey eventually led to collaborations with BTS, IU, TXT, NCT, PLAVE, and more—firmly establishing him as a trusted and sought-after producer.
In this book, the author retraces thirteen seasons he has lived through since his debut, following the songs created by El Capitxn. From the thrill of first dreaming of becoming a singer, to the uncertainty of his first day as a trainee, the fear after the group disbanded, the transition into producing, the overwhelming moment of discovering his own style, and the sense of responsibility when working with top artists—he shares candid stories he has never told anyone before. These reflections delve not only into the creative struggles behind each track but also into the cracks and recoveries he experienced beyond music, piece by piece.
