A borrowed coin or ring is placed in a small wooden box, and given to a spectator to hold, wrapped in the spectator's handkerchief. The spectator can hear the coin or ring rattling in the box. At performer's command this vanishes and reappears in a ball of wool, nest of boxes, etc.
