Einzinger & CO GmbH was a well-known mail-order company with retail outlets, primarily selling carnival and decorative items . The company was founded in 1920 by Theodor Einzinger in Munich and initially dealt in paper and stationery. His ancestors had already worked in the paper industry (Anton Einzinger, bookbinder *1799, Moritz Einzinger, paper merchant *1869). Catalogs were distributed from 1930 onward, and carnival catalogs from 1935 onward. The Einzinger Narrenfibel (patented in 1968) became particularly well-known. The product range was gradually expanded. Toys, catering supplies, and club items were also offered.


In the 1950s, there were ten branches in Munich. In 1965, a large new building was constructed in Munich. In 1999, the company headquarters moved to Ebersberg . Insolvency proceedings were initiated in 2003. In the same year, the company was continued as Festartikel Einzinger GmbH by a former employee. The final insolvency occurred in early
