The 100 won coin is one of the Republic of Korea won coins issued by the Bank of Korea, the central bank of the Republic of Korea.

The front side of the coin is the only one of the Republic of Korea coins with a person on it. It has a portrait of Yi Sun-sin, the god of war during the Joseon Dynasty, and the text “100 won,” meaning 100 won.

On the reverse side are the Arabic numeral “100,” meaning 100 won, the year of manufacture, and the text “Bank of Korea.

The 100 won coin was issued on November 30, 1970, and the private 100 won coin was issued on January 15, 1983, with the design style modified to match the 500 won coin.
