Wallace und Gromit schmökern in Reiseprospekten, sie planen einen Wochenendtrip. Zeit für Wallace' geliebten Imbiß: Cracker und Käse. Doch mit Schrecken stellt er fest: kein Käse im Haus! Draußen scheint der Mond - und da kommt den beiden die rettende Idee.
Schließlich weiß jedes Kind, daß der Mond aus Käse ist... Das Ziel ist beschlossene Sache, und Wallace macht sich daran, eine Rakete zu bauen. Nach turbulentem Start landen die beiden mitten im Festschmaus, dem Mondkäse. Doch das wohlverdiente Picknick wird jäh von einem elektronischen Wächter mit Ski-Leidenschaften unterbrochen...
"Die Techno-Hose"
Gromit hat Geburtstag, und Wallace verblüfft ihn mit einer ganz besonderen Erfindung, einer selbstlaufenden Hose. Die zweite Geburtstagsüberraschung ist nicht weniger kurios: ein neuer Untermieter - ein merkwürdiger Pinguin, an den Gromit nicht nur sein Zimmer, sondern auch die Gunst von Wallace verliert.
Doch der Eindringling entpuppt sich als gesuchter Verbrecher, der die "Techno-Hose" mitsamt dem schlafenden Wallace zu einem Diamanten-Raubzug benutzt. Eine wilde Verfolgungsjagd mit einem verrückten Showdown auf einer Spielzeugeisenbahn beginnt...

Doch der Auftrag der hübschen Wollhändlerin Wendolene Ramsbottom bringt das Leben unserer beiden Helden gründlich durcheinander.
Während sich Wallace unsterblich in Wendolene verliebt, kommt Gromit ihrem verbrecherischen Cyber-Dog auf die Spur...
