Thangka is a Buddhist religion painting literally on cotton or silk. Thangka is an art of representing and visualizing of deities. Artist have used acrylic color with 24K gold on canvas. Thangka measures 17.5 x 20.5 inches. The thangka is beautiful to hand on the walls of home, offices and other. Thangkas are especially used for meditation. Nowadays thangka are also used for decoration and worshiping too.

This mandala is inspired to the five precept of Theravada Buddhism: the five rules that Buddhist practitioners should follow to facilitate their practice: do not harm or kill, do not steal, avoid sexual misconduct, do not lie and do not use alcohol or drugs. These five precepts have common elements with most ethical rules in other major Buddhist traditions.

The five precepts are represented in this mandala by five gold Buddha depicted inside five different circles.

On the sides are displayed Tibetan Lamas teaching monks while on top of the main circle a beautiful image of Avalokitesvara. On the bottom the aspiring Bodhisattvas are depicted testing their skills riding horses symbolizing the effort to practice the discipline.
