Beautiful tea set dating from the 1930s,
The pattern is mainly floral, hand-painted in polychrome enamels to give a raised effect to the artwork. The colours are mainly Blue, Orange, Yellow, Green, Purple, & Teal. Ornate handles are beautifully trimmed in gold, and with a wavy rim, they are very pretty.
The set comprises a teapot, hot water jug, cream jug and a pair of sugar bowls, five tea cups, four saucers and a tea plate. Together with a fruit service, comprising large fruit and six small fruit bowls.
The teapot holds approximately 700ml and the coffee pot 500ml.
Excellent condition for its age, appears barely used. There is only just some wear to the pattern on the bowls. Please see final image.
