Introduction by TIM LEBBON. NEW, obtained direct from the publisher. A novella in 5 episodes, 3 of which were published in INTERZONE and given honorable mentions in the Datlow/Grant/Link THE YEAR'S BEST FANTASY AND HORROR. The other two episodes, which are a bit longer and form half the book, are published here for the first time. The whole tells a continuous story from multiple viewpoints of the breakdown of law and order in Old Corpsenburg, a mysterious town in a fog where the dead accumulate and people have to find places for ever-increasing numbers of corpses in their homes, schools, and shops, because that's the way things have always been done. Creepy and surreal. No, this is not a zombie story. No brains were eaten in the creation of this book. The work as a whole was a finalist for the SHIRLEY JACKSON AWARD this year.
Always happy to combine shipping on multiple wins.
