After coating the mirror shield is covered with micro powder. If you use liquids with excellent penetration such as parts cleaners insect repellents anti-fog chemicals and acidic liquids the liquids will penetrate into the powder and cause vapor deposition peeling. In addition rubbing the shield with a cloth glove or other item that has these liquids on it may cause similar vapor deposition peeling. *Do not use silicone grease on any surface other than the mounting surface.
