This vibrator is the one used on the Twin-V police radios of 1955 as well as in the military. It's a 95 Hz interrupter type and works on either 6 or12 volts by a jumper arrangement involving the transformer primaries and so forth. The contacts are rather more robust than those in a car radio power supply. They have very heavy contacts.
